莉亞·麥曉2005年生於賓夕法尼亞州匹茲堡的演藝世家。她有三名兄弟姊妹：弗林（Flynn）、羅根（Logan）和謝伊（Shea），以及患有腦性麻痺的兄弟蓋文（Gavin）。[3]蓋文也是演員，曾出演電視劇《火速救援最前線》[4]。
