斑翅鹪鹩属
雀形目鷦鷯科下的一個屬
斑翅鹪鹩属（学名：Microcerculus）是雀形目鹪鹩科下的一个属。[2]本属鸟类分布于中、南美洲一带，本属鸟类具有尾短、喙长、腿长等特征，常躲藏于潮湿森林的地面或附近，很难被发现，但多能以歌声辨别出来。[2][3]目前下属4个物种。[2]

命名历史 编辑
本属由英国鸟类学家奥斯伯特·萨尔文首次于1861年提及，并指明该名称来自于英国动物学家菲利普·斯克莱特之作品。[4]但斯克莱特的书籍直至1862年才被出版，因此其动物学作者引证有时会被归于斯克莱特，或者被标示为1862年。[1][4][5]
其模式种为1864年由美国鸟类学家斯宾塞·富勒顿·贝尔德指定为彼得·博达尔特于1783年描述的Turdus bambla（或作Formicarius bambla），即斑翅鹪鹩。[1][6][7]其属名Microcerculus是古希腊语的μικρός（罗马化：mikros，意为“小的”）及κέρκος （罗马化：kerkos，意为“尾巴”）组成。[8]
