赫氏海豚

赫氏海豚（学名：Cephalorhynchus heavisidii），又名海氏矮海豚，是黑白海豚属下的一种海豚，生活在纳米比亚到南非西海岸沿海地区。

19世纪早期，有人在好望角附近捉到了一只海豚，这只海豚由英属东印度公司的赫维赛德船长（Captain Haviside）带到英国，动物学家约翰·爱德华·格雷在《Spicilegia Zoologica》一书中对其进行了描述。但是他把这名船长的名字“Haviside”和另外一个收集动物标本的外科医生“Heaviside”弄混了，结果现在英语文学中赫氏海豚通常都叫做“Heaviside's Dolphin”。不过实际也有别的一些机构使用正确的原名。[2][3][4]
