灰鹧鸪属
灰鹧鸪属（学名：Ortygornis）是鸡形目雉科雉亚科原鸡族鹧鸪亚族的一属。

1852年，德国博物学家路德维希·赖兴巴赫创建了本属，以描述一个单一的物种，即其模式种灰鹧鸪（Ortygornis pondicerianus）。[1]属名结合了古希腊语“鹌鹑”（ortux）和“鸟”（ornis）两个词。[2]
该属目前有三种，一种分布于撒哈拉以南非洲，两种发现于南亚和伊朗。[3]

以上三个物种中，凤头鹧鸪以前被归入其的单型属凤头鹧鸪属（Dendroperdix），而两个亚洲物种以前被归入鹧鸪属（Francolinus）。系统发育分析支持这三个物种作为一个不同的分支组合在一起。[4][5]
