针尾雨燕属（学名：Hirundapus），是雨燕目雨燕科下的一个属。[2]本属物种分布于亚洲，目前下属4个物种。[2]

命名历史 编辑
本属由英国鸟类学家布赖恩·霍顿·霍奇森于《Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal》标示1836年的刊物中描述，但该期刊物的出版时间因亚洲学会当时的财务困难而遭到推迟，因此其实际命名年份为1837年。[3][4]其模式种指定为Cypselus nudipes（或Chaetura nudipes，霍奇森当时未有明确组合出学名），现为白喉针尾雨燕的亚种之一。[1][5]其属名Hirundapus来自于燕属的学名Hirundo及雨燕属的学名Apus。[6]
