美國總統選舉猶他州選情

猶他州位於美國西部山區[1]，自1896年1月加入聯邦以來，該州共參與過32場總統選舉。在1896年美國總統選舉中，民主黨候選人威廉·詹寧斯·布萊恩以83%的得票率輕鬆贏下了猶他州。[2]然而在隨後的四年裡，共和黨開始在猶他州的總統選舉中占優，這種狀況一直持續到1932年的選舉。[3]在1912年美國總統選舉中，時任總統威廉·霍華德·塔虎脫只贏得了佛蒙特州和猶他州，未能獲得連任。[4]在1932年美國總統選舉中，民主黨候選人富蘭克林·羅斯福贏得了猶他州並獲得了最終的勝利，[5]此後民主黨一直在猶他州占據優勢直至1952年美國總統選舉。[3]

在1992年美國總統選舉中，獨立候選人羅斯·佩羅在該州得票率排名第二，甚至超過了民主黨候選人比爾·柯林頓。[6]而在2016年美國總統選舉中，獨立人士埃文·麥克穆林參與了此次選舉，[7]並且根據十月份的民調，他將會獲得大約25%的選票。[8]然而他在正式選舉中的得票率只有21.5%，略遜於民調。[9] 截至2020年 (2020-Missing required parameter 1=month!)，共和黨候選人在猶他州贏得了最近18場選舉當中的17場。[10]根據蓋洛普於2015年的調查結果顯示，猶他州是美國最傾向於共和黨的州之一。[11]
