小詹姆斯·艾倫·惠特莫爾（James Allen Whitmore Jr.；1921年10月1日—2009年1月19日）是一位美國演員，曾獲得金球獎、葛萊美獎、黃金時段艾美獎、戲劇世界獎和東尼獎各一項，以及兩項奧斯卡獎提名。

他出生於紐約州白原市，是弗洛倫斯·貝爾（Florence Belle；née Crane）和公務員詹姆斯·艾倫·惠特莫爾（James Allen Whitmore Sr.）之子[1]。他曾就讀於紐約州斯奈德的阿默斯特中央高中（Amherst Central High School）[2]，之後作為橄欖球運動員獲得獎學金轉學到康乃狄克州沃靈福德的喬特羅斯瑪麗。畢業後他進入耶魯大學，但在嚴重膝傷放棄橄欖球[3]，進入耶魯戲劇社（Yale Dramatic Society），開始從事表演[4]。在耶魯期間，他還是骷髏會成員[5]、耶魯廣播電台（後更名為WYBC-AM）的創始人之一 [6]。

他本打算成為一名律師，在大學時所作的也是政府相關研究。二戰爆發後，他於1942年在完成學位的同時加入美國海軍陸戰隊預備役[7]。期間他曾在維吉尼亞州帕里斯島、匡提科以及候補軍官學校（Officers Candidate School）接受培訓，獲少尉軍階，1944年7月被分配到塞班島的第4海軍陸戰師，在天寧島罹患阿米巴症。病癒出院後，他在巴拿馬運河區擔任警衛，直到1946年3月退役[8][9]。之後，他在百老匯出道。

二戰後，惠特莫爾曾在紐約演員工作室學習，並遇到他的第一任妻子南希·米加特（Nancy Mygatt）[10]。他們於1947年結婚，1971年離婚前育有三子。長子小詹姆斯·惠特莫爾也成為了演員[11]。1979年兩人復婚，但旋即在兩年後再次離婚。

惠特莫爾1972年到1979年間與女演員奧德拉·林德利結婚。結婚期間和結婚後二人共同出演了幾場舞台劇[12]。2001年，他與女演員兼作家諾琳·納什結婚[13]。

他在2008年11月確診肺癌，2009年2月6日因肺癌在馬里布的家中去世。[14]
