Fastmail

Fastmail 是一家位於澳大利亞墨爾本的電子郵件代管公司[1]。除了 Fastmail 品牌服務外，該公司還運營郵寄清單服務 Topicbox 和 2015 年收購的電子郵件服務 Pobox[2]。Fastmail擁有數十個提供服務的域名，至今Fastmail在國際上仍是最受歡迎的IMAP郵件服務之一，而在中國則受到Gmail對IMAP的支援的衝擊。

Fastmail 於 1999 年由 Rob Mueller、Bruce Davey 和 Jeremy Howard 建立，旨在為 Optimal Decisions Group 的客戶提供電子郵件服務。

Fastmail 提供的唯一產品是電子郵件服務（以及隨附的配件），但從 2010 年到 2013 年，該產品線歸 Opera Software（以其網路瀏覽器而聞名）所有。[5][6][7][8]通過員工回購，公司再次完全獨立。[9]

隨著 Fastmail 轉向訂閱制，所有現存的「訪客」和「一次性付款」會員電子郵件帳戶都在 2017 年 7 月 31 日終止。[16]現有使用者可以選擇以折扣價轉為訂閱使用者或要求退還一次性付款。[17]

截至 2018 年 12 月，Fastmail 和所有其他澳大利亞公司均須遵守《協助和訪問法案（英語：Mass surveillance in Australia#Telecommunications and Other Legislation Amendment (Assistance and Access) Act）》，該法案迫使他們在必要的調查過程中協助執法部門訪問加密通訊。雖然 Fastmail 表示他們的服務沒有「受到重大影響」，因為他們已經遵守了《電信法（英語：Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Amendment (Data Retention) Act 2015）》的規定，但客戶仍對該法案的影響表示了擔憂。[18][19]

Fastmail 提供多個域名（除了一個以「fastmail」開頭的域名，其他均為不同的頂級域名）供使用者選擇，同時還允許客戶使用自己的域名。[21]使用者還可以在 Web 電子信箱頁面中建立日曆和筆記，並通過 IMAP 和 CalDav 協定遠端同步。[22][23]

開發人員中有一位 Cyrus IMAP 開源軟體專案的積極貢獻者[24]，還有 Perl 模組 Mail::IMAPTalk 的主要開發人員和維護人員。[25]Fastmail 支援自由軟體網路郵件介面 Roundcube[26] 的開發，還開發了一種新的開放電子郵件協定 JMAP。[27]

Fastmail 還支援使用 YubiKey 的在登入時進行雙因子認證。雖然將一個或多個 YubiKey 與 Fastmail 帳戶關聯不會影響正常登入，但它允許僅使用 YubiKey 及其自動生成的一次性密碼登入電子郵件帳戶，使其適合在公共電腦上訪問電子郵件。據 Fastmail 團隊稱，僅使用 YubiKey 的登入功能已於 2016 年 7 月停止使用，因為它很少被使用。[28]
