Kate Zimmerman
Senior Director, Research and Decision Science, Wikimedia Foundation
About me
I joined the Wikimedia Foundation in 2018. Prior to my time at Wikimedia, I built data science teams and processes from scratch at two companies, empowering colleagues to test hypotheses and learn with data. I did my graduate studies in decision science, behavioral economics, and psychology at Carnegie Mellon University.
My work
I lead the Research and Decision Science group in the Wikimedia Foundation. We provide data, analysis, and insights that support strategic and tactical decision-making in the Foundation and our communities. We also build algorithms and turn research questions into publicly shared knowledge.
