About the language links for Taiwan/Republic of China 编辑
Hello, Vargenau, in your edit records, I noticed you removed or added language links for the two articles on Chinese Wikipedia. Could you please explain why and how to make sure all language versions of the the two articles displayed? Thanks! I know the English version of en:Republic of China has been redirected to en:Taiwan (along with some other related articles.) So there are two Chinese articles linked to the same English article. Hello, In most languages, the are two articles: one about the country and one about the island. These article sets cannot be mixed. Best regards, Vargenau（留言） 2012年7月7日 (六) 19:28 (UTC)
- I understand what you mean, however, the content in en:Taiwan actually cover both the state and the island in different sections. For the common usage in major English-speaking countries such as U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand,Taiwan actually refers both a state and the major island the state located. Most Taiwanese people also mix the two terms, Taiwan and R.O.C., in different context. But the implications are basically the same: now, Taiwan (broader definition) is equal to R.O.C. and R.O.C. is equal to Taiwan. It would be somewhat strange if we link 中華民國 to Taiwan but prevent its original word 臺灣 to Taiwan itself. I reverse it as my intention is to make it convenient for all Wiki users to see the information. --WildCursive（留言） 2012年7月8日 (日) 11:10 (UTC)

Hello, Vargenau. According the Bot Policy of Chinese Wikipedia, bot accounts that have had no edits for one year will be deauthorized. Prior to deauthorization, the bot will be nominated for review and a one-week notification will be issued. If you wish to have these permissions retained, please post to this page within a week.
