纽约州律师公会
纽约州律师公会（New York State Bar Association (NYSBA)）为美国纽约州的自愿性州律师公会。该公会的目标是培养法学的科学；促进法律的改革；促进司法第行政效率的提升，以及提高法律专业的诚信、荣誉、专业技能与礼节等之标准。[1]

历史沿革 编辑
纽约州律师公会于1876年11月21日在纽约州奥尔巴尼设立，并于1877年5月2日根据州议会法案成立之法人组织。第一任会长是大卫·贝内特·希尔。而埃利奥特·菲奇·谢泼德帮助建立了该公会，并于1884年担任第五任会长。[2][3]在签署建立法律公会之立法改革中，取消了对妇女执业律师的限制。[4]于1896年，纽约州律师公会提出了解决国家间争端的第一个全球性的方策，也就是现在位于荷兰海牙的常设仲裁法院。
