英力士被组织成大约20个独立的业务单位，每个单位都有自己的董事会，几乎完全独立运作。
历史 编辑
它由安宏资本的主管吉姆·拉特克利夫创立于1992年，当时叫做Inspec。1995年，它以8500万英镑的价格收购了BP的环氧乙烷（ethylene oxide）及乙二醇（glycol）业务，改名“Inspec Ethylene Oxide Specialities”[2]。1998年改现名，此名是“Inspec Ethylene Oxide Specialities”的缩写[3]。“Ineo”来自拉丁语，意思是“新的开始”，“Eos”即希腊神话中的黎明女神，“neos”在希腊语中意思是“新的”。[3]此后英力士从ICI和BP等集团手中收购业务。[4][5]
英力士汽车 编辑
2017年吉米·拉特克利夫成立了英力士汽车公司（Ineos Automotive Ltd.），用来开发越野车，挑战路虎卫士的地位[6]。2019年9月，他宣布该公司开发的汽车名为Ineos Grenadier（英力士掷弹兵），并即将开始在比利时和南威尔士的工厂组装，其动力系统由BMW提供[7]。2022年投产。
