內閣辦公廳首席捕鼠官（英語：Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office）是英國首相任命，常駐在唐寧街10號的貓的官方頭銜。雖然現代記錄只能追溯到20世紀20年代，但自16世紀以來，英國政府就一直僱傭貓作為常駐捕鼠官兼寵物。儘管其他貓也曾在唐寧街任職，但英國政府首次正式授予首席捕鼠官頭銜是在2011年，授予貓為拉里。其他貓通常由英國媒體親切冠以此頭銜。

有證據表明，早在亨利八世統治時期，英格蘭政府中便已有貓居住[2]，當時紅衣主教托馬斯·沃爾西在擔任大法官期間，曾將他的貓帶在身邊[3]。然而，作為《2000年信息自由法案（英語：Freedom of Information Act 2000）》的一部分，2005年1月4日公布的官方記錄只能追溯到1929年6月3日[4][5]，當時財政部的A·E·班納姆授權管家「每天從零用金中拿出1便士[a]用來撫養一隻高效的貓」[6]。1932年4月，養貓的每周支出增加到1先令6便士[b]。到了21世紀，捕鼠官的每年花費漲至100英鎊[7]。首席捕鼠官不一定屬於在任首相，而且捕鼠官任期很少與首相任期重合[8]。已知在唐寧街任職時間最長的貓是威爾伯福斯（英語：Wilberforce (cat)），它曾服務於四位首相：愛德華·希思、哈羅德·威爾遜、詹姆斯·卡拉漢及瑪格麗特·撒切爾[9][10]。

自2011年以來，首席捕鼠官一直由拉里擔任[11]，它是首位經正式授予這一頭銜的貓[1][12]。前任捕鼠官西比爾（英語：Sybil (cat)）於2009年1月離職，西比爾於2007年9月11日上任，在其前任捕鼠官漢弗萊（英語：Humphrey (cat)）於1997年退休後，首席捕鼠官一職已空缺了十年。西比爾的主人是時任財政大臣阿利斯泰爾·達林，達林當時住在唐寧街10號，而時任首相戈登·布朗則居住於更大的唐寧街11號[13][14]。據報道，西比爾退休後並沒有留在倫敦，而是返回了蘇格蘭與達林朋友一起生活。2009年7月27日，西比爾離世[15][16]。

2004年，曼徹斯特大學政治學家羅伯特·福特（Robert Ford）報告了YouGov關於黨派對唐寧街貓咪態度的調查。參與調查者看到了由瑪格麗特·撒切爾任命的首席捕鼠官漢弗萊的照片，並被告知漢弗萊屬於撒切爾夫人或托尼·布萊爾。調查發現人們對貓的親和力按黨派劃分：保守黨選民在得知這隻貓屬於撒切爾夫人的時候更喜歡這隻貓，而工黨選民在得知這隻貓屬於布萊爾的時候更喜歡這隻貓。福特得出結論稱，無論政治家所做的事情多麼微不足道，黨性都決定了對其所做事情的態度，這一結論類似於心理學家觀察到的暈輪效應（以及逆「叉尾效應」）[21]。
