Springfield Township is one of the fourteen townships of Mahoning County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2010 census found 6,703 people in the township.[3]
地理
編輯Located in the southeastern corner of the county along the Pennsylvania border, 與以下鎮區接壤:

- Mahoning Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania - 北east corner
- North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania - 東
- Little Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania - 東南

- Fairfield Township, Columbiana County - 南west corner
- Beaver Township - 西
- Boardman Township - 北west
The village of New Middletown is located in central Springfield Township, and two unincorporated communities lie in the township: New Springfield in the south, and Petersburg in the southeast.
Name and history
編輯It is one of eleven Springfield Townships statewide.[4]
For many years, the township was part of Columbiana County, before becoming part of Mahoning County in 1846.[5]
政府
編輯鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行,並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行,另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6],與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行,不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺,將由剩餘理事填補。
