李乾

李乾（Ch'ien Lee）為專業從事豬籠草屬食蟲植物研究的分類學家和植物學家。

李乾在加州大學聖克魯斯分校（University of California Santa Cruz）取得了生物學及生態學學士學位。

生平 編輯

在他還是個孩子的時候就對自然非常感興趣，這促使他投身於昆蟲及動物追蹤和民族植物學的研究中，他曾作為一位自然學家和環境教育家工作於加州北部的東灣地區公園（East Bay Regional Parks）。1996年，他決定這輩子都生活在熱帶雨林中，所以他搬到沙勞越，在那裏為一個原生植物物種繁育計劃工作。

李乾在學校時期就酷愛攝影，他始終認為攝影是他表現和分享在旅行中的想法和對自然的熱戀的一種非常好的方式。他說道「如果你是一個對自然有着無限興趣的人，那麼婆羅洲對你來說肯定是一個絕妙的住處。在這裏，只要你出去走走，每一個攝影師都可以輕易的拍攝到大量種類豐富的素材。當然，在熱帶雨林進行拍攝一定會遇到些實際的障礙，但這總是值得的。」

豬籠草是李乾多年來關注的重點，他已經發表了大量關於豬籠草分類的論文。他說道「在我過去幾十年的旅程中，很大一部分都是為了追尋稀有的豬籠草。其間，我去到了很多真正偏遠的東南亞地區。」他的照片出現在很多文章和書刊中，如《沙勞越的豬籠草》、《古晉河的魚類》（The Fishes of Kuching Rivers）和《婆羅洲的豬籠草》。他偶爾也承接一些拍攝業務，但也得符合他的興趣。

除了攝影外，李乾還在古晉植物學研究中心（沙勞越林業公司）擔任顧問，並定期為沙勞越和沙巴旅行團提供私人導遊服務。

李乾描述了很多豬籠草屬新物種，包括陳氏豬籠草（N. chaniana）[1]、甘通山豬籠草（N. gantungensis）[2]、有腺豬籠草（N. glandulifera）[3]、馬桶豬籠草（N. jamban）[4]、小舌豬籠草（N. lingulata）[4]、巴拉望島豬籠草（N. palawanensis）[5]、皮托龐豬籠草（N. pitopangii）[6]和大飛碟豬籠草（N. platychila）[7]。李乾還描述了一種自然雜交種——石龍門豬籠草（N. × bauensis）。

在引用以該人命名的植物學名時，命名人的標準縮寫是Chi.C.Lee。[8]
