Middleton Township is one of the eighteen townships of Columbiana County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2010 census reported 3,612 people living in the township,[3] 3,375 of whom were in the unincorporated portions.
地理
編輯Located in the eastern part of the county, it borders the following townships and borough:
- Unity Township - 北
- Darlington Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania - 北east
- South Beaver Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania - 東
- Ohioville, Pennsylvania - 東南
- St. Clair Township - 南
- Madison Township - 南west corner
- Elkrun Township - 西
- Fairfield Township - 北west corner
The village of Rogers is located in northwestern Middleton Township. Several unincorporated communities are in the township: Lake Tomahawk, a census-designated place, is located towards the center; Negley, also a census-designated place, is in the northeast; and Clarkson lies in the southwest.
Name and history
編輯Statewide, the only other Middleton Township is located in Wood County.
The township was among the first organized in the county in 1803.[4]
政府
編輯鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行,並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行,另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[5],與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行,不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺,將由剩餘理事填補。
