哈罗德·霍特林
哈罗德·霍特林（英语：Harold Hotelling，1895年9月29日—1973年12月26日）为数理统计学者、具重要影响力的经济理论学者。

1927年起，他担任史丹佛大学数学系副教授。1931年到1946年期间，任职哥伦比亚大学。1946年起，在北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校数理统计系任教，直到他去世。教堂山有一条街道和他的名字有关。1972年，因对科学的贡献获颁 North Carolina Award。
当他在华盛顿大学就读时，受知名数学家埃里克·坦普尔·贝尔的鼓舞，从数学转换到经济学领域。后来，他四十多岁在哥伦比亚大学任教时，换他鼓舞他的学生肯尼斯·约瑟夫·阿罗，从数学和统计领域转换到精算学科，朝数学在经济理论中更广泛应用之路迈进。
