芋螺总科
新腹足目的一个总科
芋螺总科（学名：Conoidea）是一种掠食性的海螺，是新腹足类支序之下的一个海洋腹足纲软体动物的总科[2]。这个总科在海洋软体动物中是一个很大的群组，估计包括约340个近期有效的属与亚属、接近四千个不同的物种[3]。

本总科内物种的支序关系仍然只有很少研究，只是知道有多个科及亚科均为并系群[3]。随着新的研究文献发表及被认同，本总科内各物种的分类仍可能有变化。
2011年，Bouchet et al.对芋螺科之下的分类作出修订，多个亚科被提升至科级[4]。
型态特征 编辑
- 梳齿螺类/兔唇螺类（Clavidae type）：每排有五枚舌齿排作梳状，边齿平；
- 卷管螺类（Turridae type）：每排有两到三枚舌齿，边齿尾端作分叉状；
- 西美螺类（Pseudomelatomidae/Pervicaciinae type）：每排有两到三枚舌齿，边齿弯曲及实心；
- the hypodermic type：每排有两枚空心的边齿，齿舌膜退化或消失。
