十字蛸属
十字蛸属（学名：Stauroteuthis）为栖息于深海的章鱼，为十字蛸科（学名：Stauroteuthidae）下的唯一属，并包含2种。

十字蛸属物种栖息于水深700米（2,300英尺）以上的深海，有时能在水深4,000米（13,000英尺）的海域发现，但大多栖息于水深1,500至2,500米（4,900至8,200英尺）的海域之中[1]。
描述 编辑
十字蛸属物种的外套膜长约5至10 cm（2.0至3.9英寸），触腕长度最长可达35 cm（14英寸），不具有齿舌[1]。
它们为少数可进行生物发光的章鱼，每条触腕上约有40个发光器，可发出蓝绿色的光吸引小型甲壳类；或是可能用于吸引异性[2]。
