NGC 1502
NGC 1502是一个年轻[6]、大约有60颗恒星的疏散星团[3]。它位于鹿豹座，是威廉·赫歇尔在1787年11月3日发现的[7]。它的视星等为6.0，因此肉眼隐约可见[3]。该集群的距离太阳大约3,500 light years[1][2]，位于移动星群鹿豹座OB1星协的外边缘，可能是猎户臂的一部分[2]。被称为甘伯串珠的星群似乎"流入"了NGC 1502，但这只是恒星排列上的巧合[8]。

NGC 1502的川普勒分类是II 3 p，II表示有向中心凝聚的现象，3 表示亮度范围大，即少数恒星非常明亮，和其余恒星之间的差距很大，且多数的星都是黯淡的，p 表示可见的恒星数量少于50颗，但现在已发现超过60颗恒星。的疏散星团表示亮度范围较宽的星团（P）人口稀少（3）。没有明确的主序转折点，因此估计年龄范围从五百万年到一千五百万年不等[6]。由于星际尘埃，它严重变红[4]。星团中最亮的候选成员之一是食双星鹿豹座SZ，它是组成视双星ADS 2984的部分[2]。星团成员中有11颗变星和4颗变星候选者，包括一颗仙王座β型变星，两颗周期性B型变星，2-3颗食变星和一颗天琴座RR型变星[6]。星团的五颗成员是化学性质奇特星[9]。
