杜兰朵公主是跟据12世纪，波斯诗人Epic Turin Dokht the hook ofHaft Peykar. Work of 12 century Persian poet Nizami.请注意到元朝蒙古人建大元于北京1271年，13世纪，因此，辽代，契丹人建立的王朝及公主可能性较为接近Nizarmi生活的年代背景故事，如果可能查证年代属实，请维基订正，至少，元朝公主在时间上不符。
