蛇鰻科（Ophichthidae）為輻鰭魚綱鰻鱺目的一個科。学名来自古希腊语“ophis”（蛇）和“ichthys”（鱼）[2]，该科鱼类广泛分布与全球的温带和热带海水及淡水中，多数为底栖鱼类，藏身于泥沙中捕捉甲壳动物和小鱼为生。[3]
