小鸭嘴龙属
小鸭嘴龙属（学名：Microhadrosaurus）是一属鸭嘴龙科恐龙，化石从中国广东的南雄盆地发现，年代属于上白垩纪的马斯垂克阶。虽然从它的名字就可知它是小型的鸭嘴龙科，但其实发现的只有幼体遗骸，而成体的大小就不得而知了。

描述 编辑
董枝明是根据编号IVPP V4732的标本，即幼体的部份下颌，来命名小鸭嘴龙。这个骨骼部份包含了18柱牙齿，长37厘米[1]。董枝明后来估计小鸭嘴龙长2.6米[2]。
历史 编辑
董枝明认为小鸭嘴龙很像埃德蒙顿龙，但个子较小[1]。但是，鸭嘴龙科专家Michael K. Brett-Surman却认为小鸭嘴龙并没有任何独特的地方显示它与其他鸭嘴龙科的不同[3]。杰克·霍纳（Jack Horner）等人亦认同这一个观点，并指小鸭嘴龙是疑名[4]。
古生物学 编辑
小鸭嘴龙可能是双足或四足的草食性恐龙，它的复杂头颅骨结构可以协助咀嚼植物，且有数百颗不断更换的牙齿[4]。由于只有幼体的下颌，现时对它的所知甚少。
