薄刃虾属
奇美拉薄刃虾(学名:Laminacaris chimera)是薄刃虾属 (学名:Laminacaris)的模式种。[1]是在中国发现此物种,[4]且许多发现的化石都不完整。[1]除了在中国发现。也在美国宾夕凡尼亚州的金泽斯地层发现可能是薄刃虾属的附肢化石。[2]薄刃虾有著迄今最长的附肢,也有可能是第二大的奇虾科、抱怪虫科类群的物种。[5][6][7]薄刃虾的附肢有一些的特征是来自于放射齿目各科的主要型态,[1]导致目前薄刃虾的分类与开拓虾属一样尚未分进任何科。[8][9]

命名与发现 编辑
在中国云南东部的昆明发现此物种的化石标本,总共三个区域分别是:琼楚苏地层(Chiungchussu Formation)中的玉案山组(Yu'anshan Formation),海口镇(Haikou area)的麻坊阶层(Mafang section)发现RCCBYU 10251、YKLP 13338的标本,澄江市的凤口佋地层(Fengkoushao section)发现CJHMD 00003的化石标本。[1]
Laminacaris是来自拉丁语“lamina”,意思细薄的刀片;“caris”的意思是“螃蟹”,是恐虾纲的常用作学名的字尾。种小名“chimera”是指希腊神话的奇美拉,是一种由许多种物种部分拼凑起来的怪物,代表此物种的附肢化石是由许多个标本拼接而成的。[1]
型态 编辑
附肢分为两个部分,分别是梗节(shaft)共两节(由左往右数,第一节至二节,连接头部和附肢的部分)和端节(distal articulated region)共十三节(由右往左数,第三节至十五节)。[1]
端节中的每个节被三角形节膜分隔开来,每个节呈长方形,并且高大于宽。在端节中的每个节除了最后都有一个节以外,在每个节的腹侧中间有一根刺,称作前附肢棘(ventral endite),且前附肢棘的长度会依照在基数节或是偶数节而有所不同。第三节的前附肢棘最大,且非常靠近第二个节的前附肢棘,形成了独特的交叉。第三节的前附肢棘上有五比较大的小刺,且小刺越往尖端越大。其中在第三节的前附肢棘,有一个指向基部的小刺。每个小刺的长度都不会超过前附肢棘的宽度。其他的前附肢棘上面也有小刺。第四个到第十四个节的前附肢棘两边不对称,且其中三个指向附肢的末端,还有一个是指向基部。第五节与第七节的前附肢棘大小差不多,有可能稍微大一点。第十一节到第十五节的背侧都有较大的刺,称作背刺(dorsal spine)。在第十五节有一根在末端的刺。[1]

最初Hou等人,于2004年出版“The Cambrian Fossils of Chengjiang, China”一本书,此书提到发现薄刃虾的化石标本"RCCBYU 10251",但当时认为是帚刺侯氏虾的亲近种。[3]而在2018年Guo等人将此物种重新命名[1],隔年Pates和Daley在美国发现很类似于薄刃虾的附肢化石。[2]
一开始发现薄刃虾Guo等人,对于分类此物种感到困扰,因为同时具备多种特征的附肢,例如:有类似节膜的结构通常会在奇虾科或是抱怪虫科的物种;在第三节有延长的前附肢棘类似于斯丹利虾属(Stanleycaris)、赫德虾属(Hurdia)和某一些种的皮托虾属(Peytoia)。特别是赫德虾科的物种,薄刃虾的前附肢棘的型态非常类似于赫德虾属。但是Guo等人透过生活的年代,绝大多数的赫德虾都是生活在寒武纪第三期以后(除了早寒武皮托虾,是生存年代最早的放射齿目的物种[10]),判别出此物种不是赫德虾科的一属。[1]
