芬多精(英语:phytoncide)是植物所释放抗菌挥发性有机化合物之统称,种类约为5,000种,主要功能为抵御细菌真菌昆虫。芬多精在植物体内是液态精油,可由根、茎、叶、花、果挥发至空气中。

芬多精一词最早由俄罗斯国立列宁格勒大学生化学教授Boris P. Tokin英语Boris P. Tokin博士于1930年提出,他发现有些植物会释放高活性物质,避免植物本身腐烂,或被昆虫、动物所食。

大多数植物都具有芬多精,而针叶树林的挥发量又多于阔叶树林。以柳杉为主的针叶林芬多精主要以柠檬烯为主,樟树为主的阔叶林则以芳樟醇居多。其他较知名的芬多精种类包括:橡树含有 greenery alcohol,含有大蒜素二烯丙基二硫苦参含有槐黄烷酮G英语sophoraflavanone G松属植物会释放alpha-蒎烯3-蒈烯香叶烯及其他萜烯

芬多精在俄罗斯、乌克兰、中国及日本广为应用于医学,如替代医学芳香疗法兽医学等。
