小头兽属
小头兽属（属名：Cistecephalus）是种小型、特化、穴居的二齿兽类，身长约33公分。小头兽的头部平坦、呈楔形，前肢非常强壮，类似现代穴居哺乳类的前肢结构。

小头兽是由理察·欧文在1876年所叙述、命名，是第一群被命名的二齿兽类之一。
到目前为止，小头兽的化石发现于南非卡鲁盆地的小头兽组合带，以及赞比亚、印度。另一相近属Kawingasaurus，化石发现于坦桑尼亚的Kawinga组地层，该地层可能与小头兽组合带是同一地质年代。
